There once was a dog whose barking
never stopped neighbours farking
one lot went spare
and another went bare
til soon the suburb was narfing

Today is a beautiful day
at least that’s what they say
But up here in the North
it blusters so forth
that it feels like we’re still in May

There was a young fox in Iceland
who escaped the hunters scythe and
spent the winter all warm
in a cosy pit dorm
and emerged in the spring enlivened

There was a young girl from Belize
who couldn’t help but sneeze
she drank lemons by cup
much more than a sup
and now she’s back on high seas

There was a young man from Bengal
who all day did nothing at all
his Mum said my son
will be all but undone
if he doesn’t recover his gall

There once was a man from Milan
who traveled the world in a van
he needed a booster
so took his own rooster
but forgot to bring his own pan
